One Day Merge is a twist that first appeared at the final fifteen of Survivor: Unfinished Business. It is the reverse idea of the One Day Tribes twist. Instead of splitting the merge tribe into two tribes, it collapses the two tribes into one group for a single Tribal Council, before reverting to the multiple tribes format.

Overview

This twist had been an option for multiple seasons including large seasons Last Leap and Conqueror's Crusade, but did not debut until Unfinished Business. The idea is that the remaining players in the game, still in the pre-merge phase, all come together for a single Tribal Council, preceded by an individual Immunity Challenge.

History

  • In Unfinished Business, One Day Merge was activated at the Final 15 on Day 6. Jacob S. was the victim of the twist, eliminated in a 8-7 vote.
