Survivor: Indonesia – Allies vs. Adversaries is the thirty-seventh season of the second generation Suitman's Survivor Series, which began on November 26, 2016, and ended with a live reunion on December 19, 2016.
It ended with Ashley L. defeating Natalie S. and Jeremy W. at the Final Tribal Council in a 5-3-1 vote. At the Reunion, Hudson J. won Fan Favorite.
Production[]
This season features five pairs of "adversaries" from past seasons, who have each self-selected one person they regard as an "ally", who may or may not played before, to join them in the season (with the exception of Natalie, who was in fact picked by Piper, but still became one of the adversary pairings). The tribes, named after places in Indonesia, were eventually introduced on Day 4. The tribes are Malang, wearing red, and Palopo, in green. On Day 8, the tribes merged into Sawah Lunto, wearing purple.
Ten initial players were hand picked by production in five unique pairs, based on their rivalries with one another in past seasons (including Suitman's Big Brother). The returning adversaries then selected an ally to participate alongside in the season. The full cast of 20 was revealed in full on November 21, 2016.

One pair was initially cast as an ally and an adversary before their rival pair fell through in casting, and their roles were switched to accommodate a new rivalry. The season was initially promoted as Survivor: Dastardly Duos, which acted as a smokescreen to the fact that it was in fact an Allies vs. Adversaries season.
Twists[]
- Allies vs. Adversaries: Returning casting twist from Eritrea. Ten returning players were divided into pairs based on the fact they were "adversaries" in a past season. Each returning player has selected a person they regard as an "ally" to join them, however this time the allies can be returning players also, as opposed to just new castaways.
- Fused Together: Returning twist from Kazakhstan, featuring castaways competing in pairs instead of in tribes. Immunity from Tribal Council is granted only to the top five pairs in each challenge. The losing five pairs must attend Tribal Council and vote off a single castaway. The person who is robbed of their pair will then be immune for the next round until another pair falls, and the two surviving members become a new pair by default. The pairs this season were determined by the set "adversaries", with the two selected "allies" of the rivals also being fused together. The twist was re-activated for a Double Tribal Council on Day 11.
- Share or Steal: The Fused Together pairs for this season were given a "prisoner's dilemma" at the start of the season, where they had to vote to either share a hidden immunity idol between them, or take a chance to steal the idol for themselves, at the risk of potentially losing it altogether.
- Tribes of the Future: Returning twist from Ayia Thekla. The tribes for the conclusion of Fused Together were revealed on Day 1, allowing castaways to know what tribe they will be diffused into. This forces them to determine who they need to keep around and who they need to take out, to ensure they have a sturdy force to control the tribe when it comes into play.
- Returning Players: Fifteen former castaways returned this season. Ten of them were picked by production in pairs, due to their rivalry with one another in a past season, while the remaining five were each picked as an ally by those individuals, along with five new castaways to the series.
- Hidden Immunity Idols: There were multiple idols that could possibly be in play, as dictated by the Share or Steal dilemma twist.
- Double Tribal Council: On Day 11, due to the re-activation of the Fused Together twist, two people were voted out of the game back-to-back as a pair. This is the first time two castaways have been given a joint placement, due to their simultaneous elimination.
- Extra Vote: This season featured an extra vote as a prize in the Prized Position challenge. It was won by Newz O.
- Vote Blocker: This season featured a vote blocker as a prize in the Prized Position challenge. This new power allows the holder to prevent one player from being able to vote for the user at any Tribal Council up to and including the Final Six. It was won by Mike R.
